Exploring the Brand New KLGCC Mall: Stores, Restaurants & Opening Highlights

Looking for a new spot to explore on those weekends where you have no idea where to go? Then look no further than the brand new KLGCC Mall, a unique mall with specialty premium shops.

Where it Is

As you would expect, it is near KLGCC (sorry, bad joke). But it is actually one of the charms of KLGCC mall, as the rooftop amphitheater has a beautiful view overlooking the golf course. For now, parking is free - until further notice. BUT I just want to say that the major bone I have to pick with this place is that the second you go down to B2, you will be left frustrated because they block the way to go up and exit (at least on the day that I visited). The directions to exit are messy and some of the lanes are too narrow, so I do hope that their signage and traffic control improves as time passes.

You do have the option to take their shuttle service from the Semantan MRT station (Entrance A) from the times above - subject to changes.

Address: KLGCC Resort, 1, Jalan Bukit Kiara 1, Bukit Kiara, 60000 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur

What to Expect

Right now, they are still at their Soft Launch stage, so don’t expect EVERYTHING to be open, but most things already are. The Jaya Grocer Signature, for example - as if a premium Grocer needed to be even more premium - is a large space to get a lot of unique and high quality products all in one place.

There still are quite a few shops that have been slated to open in November and December, so there’s more to come from KLGCC Mall!

One comment that I would make is that it seems quite clear that the retail outlets here are bringing their A-game to KLGCC Mall, with them providing a higher-end experience relative to a lot of their other outlets. The two that pop into my mind would be Tudungpeople - which has a beautiful and well decorated space in KLGCC Mall - and Coast & Roast - a unique, higher end offering by the popular Fish & Co.

A reminder to check out the top floor - where you’ll find a beautiful view overlooking the golf course!

Where to Eat

Most of the food options are on the higher levels. On the top level, you have popular options from the Serai Group, namely Super Blonde (which was previously over at Bukit Damansara and was immensely popular there), as well as Serai itself. Both have a nice space located over on the rooftop near the Amphitheater.

On the third floor, you will find most of the other great food offerings ranging from Mexican food - El Ocho, Fiel Charcoal Grillhouse for all you meat lovers, Mokky’s Pizza, and a quaint little local restaurant in Third Serving, serving up homely Chinese food.

There’s also the Sushi Zanmai in the front, Pasta Zanmai at the back on the 2nd floor, coupled with the upcoming Huckleberry on the Ground Floor. If you’re looking for some local delights, you can also head to Hometown Hainan Coffee over on the LG floor!

Unique Attractions

There are quite a few unique attractions here apart from their amphitheater on the rooftop. They have a unique VR experience over at VAR Live. It looks like a really unique space with many different games to choose from. The only thing is maybe it’s a little funny that the public can see you floundering around in Virtual Reality in basically an empty space - you’ll see what I mean if you make a visit.

There’s also a large play area for kids in their Harborland Monster Carnival park for all those parents wanting to make a visit.

Overall

At this moment, this is one of those visit once but not visit regularly types of mall. The shops feel a bit too specialty - too specific almost - and I would say beyond the ages of 15, there really isn’t much to do here - activitiy wise. No movie theater, sports place (if you don’t count the Pickleball courts and KLGCC which is nearby but not directly connected). Food options are premium, and that’s fine if that’s what you’re going for.
