Food Blog | Kura’s Kraft | Bukit Damansara | Kuala Lumpur
Step inside Kura’s Kraft and you’ll find the perfect late night hang out spot and comfy mid-day brunch pick-me-up. It’s a spot with really cool vibes and a pet-friendly environment that you can enjoy yummy light snacks and of course, their amazing collection of craft beers! I would say this is probably aimed for two crowds, the mid-day pet owner hang out or the late night snack catchup!
Is it Halal
This is a non-halal spot, serving up beers on their menu. Generally, this is a place I’d probably recommend you avoid if this is a concern even if they have pork-free options. Pets, alcohol, and all, so I’d highly recommend you steer away from Kura’s Kraft if this is what you’re concerned about.
Where it Is
It is located in Bukit Damansara in the square where Ben’s Independent Grocer is located - Plaza Batai. Parking can be challenging during peak hours, but generally, I think should be okay. Can be a bit expensive, but just got to live with it.
Address: 8-3, Jalan Batai, Plaza Batai, Bukit Damansara, 50490 Kuala Lumpur
Operating Hours:
Sunday | 12 - 11pm
Closed on Mondays
Monday to Thursday | 12-11pm

What it Costs
I’d say price-wise, it probably is in the acceptable range. Depends on what you’re comparing it to. If you’re comparing it to typical bar food, I would say that it is slightly cheaper and I’d say it is definitely better than your standard bar food. Here’s a breakdown of what I tried:
Bacon Onion Jam Dog | RM23
Pad Kra Pao-wer Bowl (Chicken) | RM22
Enoki Fries | RM16
Tax | RM6.10
Total | RM67.10
You can take a look at their full menu right over here!
They do have some promotions ongoing at the moment, like the RM5 hot dogs with any beer purchase on Tuesdays and lunch sets from RM18.
The beers range from RM30 - RM60 depending on what you get, so do take a look at their craft beer fridge, because they seriously have a lot of options!
How it Tastes
The caveat that I will put on this is that this is a place with focus on the beers rather than the food. Quite frankly, I think the food is pretty good considering this, as I mentioned above.
Their Bacon Onion Jam Dog (I actually wanted their Kura’s Philly Cheese, but it was not available on the day. So I went with a Bacon Onion Jam dog instead. I’d say I can imagine it being great when you’re having a late night snack or even a morning after snack. Nice, filling, flavourful, and a nice char on the hot dog. So I’d seriously say no complaints at all about this, just the perfect odd-hour snack! As a full meal, maybe I would say it doesn’t fully fill you up, but I guess that’s why you can add a lot of other little snacks as well.
Their Enoki Fries are really good as well. Really nice batter, pretty interesting take on Enoki fries and a really nice snack. Would actually recommend this as well. Their sauce feels like it’s just a Kewpie Mayo, so nothing particularly special there, but I’d say it’s a really nice snack to order.
The Pad Kra Pao-wer Bowl is probably the only once I would say to not order. Quite dry, and just feels like it was just reheated or something to that degree, so I’d personally recommend for you to stick with the hot dogs.
Star Rating
6.5/10. All things considered, really nice vibes, and this is for those who want a late night chill and snack. Would be higher if you wanted me to rate it purely for that purpose, but this is for the wider population.
