Food Blog | A’Dough | Mont Kiara | Kuala Lumpur
Hidden away in a corner of Sri Hartamas is A’Dough Atelier, a Sourdough specialist bringing the love of pastries and sourdough back into the quiet neighbourhood. This is a relatively new spot that is attracting long queues for weekend coffee and pastry runs, becoming a staple for a typical Mont Kiara brunch!
Is it Halal
My understanding is that this falls under the “Muslim-friendly” category, with no pork on its menu, but if this is something you’re concerned about, do just check with the waiter if there are any dishes where you may have to avoid.
Where it Is
If you know me personally and I have recommended you to eat Wan Tan Mee somewhere in Sri Hartamas, it’s on that very same row. If you don’t know me, then it’s on the row behind where the now closed Kokomo is, or you may also know that row of shops for being where Dao is now located in Sri Hartamas. On weekends, parking should be pretty easy to find. Worst case scenario is just that you park a bit further away. You’ll almost definitely be able to find parking here within a 5 minute walk.

What it Costs
As you may expect, a meal here is on the pricier end, this is what I tried on my short visit here:
Pistachio Frangipane Croissant | RM16
Chicken Pot Pie | RM15
Mocha | RM18
Bread with 2 Sides | RM25
Service Charge (10%) | RM7.40
Total | RM81.40
I would say that it is definitely a bit on the pricier end. You can take a look at their menu as of 12th April 2026 below:
How it Tastes
I think before I go into how it tastes, I will just mention that the space is really quite a beautiful space. Even though it is bustling with people, not only is the place’s aesthetic really stunning but everything, from the interior decor to even the arrangement of pastries really is super pretty. It even goes as far as how they present the food - you’ll see this particularly with the omelette as well.
So, for what I would say is their main attraction: their sourdough bread with 2 sides. I went with an omelette and honey with butter as my spread. I would say on a scale of very airy to hard and crunchy, I would say that the sourdough is definitely a bit more on the crunchier / crispier end. The bread was fresh, warm and nicely toasted - so definitely a spot that sourdough lovers will definitely appreciate. It sounds almost simple, to have it paired with butter and honey, but I think it’s a simple combination that is done really well. The French style omelette is also super elegant, folded neatly onto the plate. I like the idea that you can really customize that dish - how many sides you want, and what you want as your sides, including sausages, other types of eggs, etc.
For their Croissant, I think overall, enjoyable on my end. I liked the filling, they’re not stingy on the filling as there was a lot of Pistachio filling within the croissant itself.
The chicken pot pie was so-so for me. Not something I would recommend you try (I believe it’s one of the bestsellers on their menu) but I think it is okay to give it a pass in the sense that I didn’t feel like it stood out in any particular way. Not that it tastes bad or anything, just that I didn’t think it was either unique or so tasty that I would recommend it.
I do see a lot of people recommending their pasta - unique for being made from sourdough as well, so I think that the pasta is definitely worth a try if you do visit!
Star Rating
6.5/10. I would say it is a solid 6.5/10. Really nice vibes, a bit pricey, but quite a nice place to consider if you want a short coffee chat or even a first date (I wouldn’t say this about too many places) It’s a nice, cozy and comfortbale place to get to know someone, so I would say that this is among one of the spots to consider (but bring an umbrella if it looks like it’s going to rain!)
