From the founders of Manisan Dessert Club comes a new offering with a continental hotel breakfast concept grabbing some attention on social media with beatiful flatlays. Very rarely can you truly find a place that is aesthetic, has good food, and free indoor parking at the same time, so that’s why I’m really excited to share with you all my review of Bread & Bakar, a comfy spot nestled in KaMi Residences Mont Kiara. It’s a spot that serves up both Middle Eastern favourites like BBQ skewers and hummus, whilst also having Malaysian favourites like Laksa and Laksam!
Star Cafe KL | Taman Desa | Cafe, Bar & Live Music | Kuala Lumpur
Hidden above the streets of Taman Desa, the residential maze behind Old Klang Road you can find a cozy little spot that is great for gatherings and live music. It is an interesting concept of cozy work environment by day, bustling music and hangout spot by night that you should definitely consider for either of the two. They’ve been around since 1996 and are one of Taman Desa’s longest running F&B venues.
A’Dough | Mont Kiara | Kuala Lumpur
Hidden away in a corner of Sri Hartamas is A’Dough Atelier, a Sourdough specialist bringing the love of pastries and sourdough back into the quiet neighbourhood. This is a relatively new spot that is attracting long queues for weekend coffee and pastry runs, becoming a staple for a typical Mont Kiara brunch!
Fiancée Cafe | The MET Corporate Towers | Mont Kiara
Nestled in The MET Corporate Towers, alongside other popular spots like Lacher, Niko Neko, and Fowlboys is Fiancée Cafe. A cozy and cool spot for you to satisfy your cafe hopping aesthetics with good food but maybe a hefty price tag. Here’s what I thought of Fiancee Cafe!
Oomph | Bukit Jalil | Kuala Lumpur
Wanted to share a pretty neat cafe I’ve been to lately. It’s a cafe that I really liked everything, from the food to the vibes to even the service, so here it is: Oomph Bukit Jalil! There’s another branch over at Petaling Jaya, but this is referring to the Bukit Jalil branch.

With their selection of beautiful food dishes and unique drinks, it’s a spot to consider the next time you make a visit over to Bukit Bintang!
Cultureel Eetcafe Skek | Amsterdam
I was in Amsterdam a week ago for the Keukenhof tulip festival and one of the most worth it meals was at Cultureel Eetcafe Skek! This is a student-run cafe that has the vibes somewhere in between a boardgame cafe and a lively pub.
Poise by J | Skudai
With People & Places not operating now, I’ve been looking for a new hipster cafe to recommend to friends and I think that Poise by J is definitely one of them!

Finding that perfect restaurant for that first date. Hmm. Challenging, huh? That’s why this is THE LIST that you should read in order to find that perfect spot for a date!
Garage 51 | Subang Jaya
Another one of those top places to go on the Burpple Top 100 for Kuala Lumpur restaurants in 2019, so I decided to pay it a visit. Slightly by chance because me and my sister actually wanted to go to After Black - happened to be closed on the day - so we saw Garage 51 a few shop lots up.
PS. Cafe Harding Road (Dempsey Hill Cafe)
In Singapore this time for the Christmas period and my dad wanted to share a place that he personally enjoyed previously. It is the super pretty and yummy cafe PS. Cafe (we tried the one at Harding Road because the other ones were pretty much impossible to get into).
7dish Cafe Taman Sutera
Back to a bit of Johor Bahru food blogging - just because this was an old one that I haven’t shared in a while. Today I’m sharing 7dish cafe! (of 7dish coffee, I’m not sure which one its meant to be. This is a place which has an all-day breakfast menu, but the star of this cafe spot is definitely that souffle.
Tropique Cafe & Restaurant Johor Bahru
Today I’ll be talking about yet another one of those cafes that fall under the ‘Instagrammable Cafes’ category, and it is none other than Tropique Cafe & Restaurant (Taman Ekoflora, Johor Bahru). Serving up fantastic food, this was a place where I had a really pleasant experience.

Another one of those REALLY popular eats among Instagram food bloggers, Flowers in the Window excels in providing you a very unique cafe dining experience, as well as providing exceptional healthy food straight into your tummies!
Openwork Johor Bahru
With a white & clean concept, Openwork Johor Bahru is one of those ‘hipster cafes’ that you wanna go ‘for the gram’. Wide open spaces and a fusion menu concept is what you expect when you go to Openwork for a meal.
Miru Dessert Cafe
Both in Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur and in Uptown Damansara, Miru is one of my favourite dessert cafes in Kuala Lumpur. Its selection of desserts ranges from your more basic toast with ice cream to kakigori, Miru makes high quality desserts at an okay-ish price.
