Definitely not been active on my blog of late (in terms of food at least, I did quite a bit on badminton at the Olympics) and I have an announcement. I’m going to Dubai pretty soon, so most of my content will mostly be driven around being in Dubai.

I definitely wouldn’t blame you if you haven’t heard of Yellow Bake Day because this is a pretty hidden home baker style shop lot providing yummy cakes and tarts, so this is a pretty hidden gem that I think more people should know about!

So, my girlfriend has been getting into vegetarian foods so as a result of that, you guys end up with more healthy content from the Bukit Indah area! Today I’m sharing Star Vegetarian Restaurant Bukit Indah.

I would say that the JB food scene doesn’t really comprise of that many genuine Thai restaurants (and no I do not count those Thai Mookata Hot Pot restaurants), so it was a nice change to try Chotiroj, at Taman Perling! Here’s my full review!

As usual, sticking with the general Eco Botanic theme of this blog, today I’m sharing Good Times (好时光) Cafe at Eco Botanic. I would say that this is one of those restaurants with the “atas kopitiam” kind of feel. Classic dishes with a clean, air conditioned space.

I’ve been longing for a good pizza since it’s been a pretty long time since I’ve had one, so I guess that’s why I’m sharing Coppola, the Italian Pizzeria at Horizon Hills!

As usual, I’m always on the hunt with new dessert spots and this was one that I came across online: Taste by Kate. If anything, this is a VERY KL Ice Cream Bar-esque type of cafe (think Inside Scoop if you know of it, because it is really similar in concept).

Bringing yet another Japanese restaurant to you guys today and it is Kirishima Shuzou, a somewhat hidden gem in Johor Bahru for Japanese food lovers!

I feel like Poke bowl is something I associate more with hipster cafes in KL rather than Johor, so it’s nice seeing a lot more of these types of casual eateries open up in the Educity area.

Finding that perfect restaurant for that first date. Hmm. Challenging, huh? That’s why this is THE LIST that you should read in order to find that perfect spot for a date!

This week’s blog post is for my personal favourite for Dim Sum ini JB, Tasixi (or 大四喜香港点心楼)! This is a pretty neat place with a lot of Dim Sum to satisfy your cravings.

For all those looking for a decently priced lunch (as long as you’re not greedy like me XD), Liang Khee Tomyam Mee is a nice option to look at! Similar in concept to Xiang La La (except this one is in Tomyam Soup), this is a pretty yummy place to grab a nice lunch.
