KLCG Confectionery & Bakery | Jalan Ampang | Kuala Lumpur
Have had my eye on this one for quite a while. I think that this is in a similar category to Lacher Patisserie - with the addition of some proper lunch options. In short, I think it is a really nice spot to hang out and have a chat, with very nice pastries and drinks to complete the vibes!
Vagabond | Sri Hartamas | Kuala Lumpur
If you frequent my blog, you would probably know that I do go to Sri Hartmas quite a bit for some food hunts, so when I saw a recommendation from IG influencer @qiwiie on a spot in Sri Hartamas that I hadn’t even heard of, I was a bit intrigued and had to have a try. This is what I thought of Vagabond, Sri Hartamas!
This is the brainchild of two chefs’ journey of bringing Melbourne’s delightful culinary culture back to Kuala Lumpur - with flavours absolutely inspired by Kuala Lumpur - with a lot of inspiration taken from both the Melbourne food scene, as well as the wonderful Malaysian - especially Sarawakian influence being evident in every dish.
Gamtan Meat Shop | Korean BBQ | Sri Hartamas | Mont Kiara
In an area already crowded with other Korean restaurants - namely Busan Zip, Dae Sam Sik Dang, and Buldojang, I was quite surprised to see another new challenger, in Gamtan Meat Shop. It is a seriously popular new Korean BBQ restaurant in Sri Hartamas attracting large crowds and long queues. Here’s what I thought of it!
Fiancée Cafe | The MET Corporate Towers | Mont Kiara
Nestled in The MET Corporate Towers, alongside other popular spots like Lacher, Niko Neko, and Fowlboys is Fiancée Cafe. A cozy and cool spot for you to satisfy your cafe hopping aesthetics with good food but maybe a hefty price tag. Here’s what I thought of Fiancee Cafe!
Lacher Patisserie | The MET | Kuala Lumpur
It’s definitely been on my eat list for a while - especially in that period where they did their RM6 promotion and had that crazy queue outside for their 6th anniversary promotion - so here’s what I thought of Lacher Patisserie!
Bai Gra Pow | Bangsar
This is a new Thai spot in Bangsar that I would say is on the more reasonable end price wise. Been seeing it on Instagram here and there, so I thought that I should pay it a visit! I think that their lunch set options are actually really good - unfortunately this is me sharing their a-la-carte menu as I visited on a Sunday afternoon.
Yellow Bake Day SS2 | SS2 | Petaling Jaya
Having previously been a fan of Yellow Bake Day cakes in Johor Bahru, I was pretty excited to have their cakes once again - this time being a dine-in experience, with their brand new cafe at SS2!
Cotta | Mont Kiara | Kuala Lumpur
If you’re looking for a hidden gem in the Mont Kiara area, there’s one that even I didn’t find out about until around late last year. It’s a hidden rooftop café in Mont Kiara that’s perfect for events and a cozy meal!
Dae Sam Sik Dang | Sri Hartamas | Mont Kiara | Kuala Lumpur
In an already competitive Korean food haven in Sri Hartmas, one new Korean BBQ restaurant has caught my eye lately. It is none other than Dae Sam Sik Dang. On the same row as Busan Zip (click right on over for that review), this is another restaurant that is garnering attention and really long queues.
Sushiro Malaysia | KLCC | Kuala Lumpur
Hailing from Japan, Sushiro is the country’s leading kaiten (conveyor belt) sushi chain, offering a variety of fresh sushi dishes along with special seasonal options—making every visit to Sushiro a unique experience!
Restoran Chuan Kie | Genting Highlands | Gohtong Jaya
I think after trying so much Genting Pork Belly, when I made a stopover at Genting Highlands, I HAD to at least try some Genting Pork Belly. Perhaps the funniest part? I didn’t actually know why it was actually called Genting Pork Belly. I just assumed it was some pork sourced in Genting itself.
Dubu Dubu | Desa Sri Hartamas | Mont Kiara | Kuala Lumpur
Coming to you with more Desa Sri Hartamas eats! This time, it is Dubu Dubu, a cozy restaurant in Hartamas Square serving up homely tofu dishes. If you’ve tried Buldojang - another very popular Korean restaurant in the area - it actually has the same owner and Buldojang is actually located the level below!
Come True Cafe | The Starhill | Bukit Bintang | Kuala Lumpur
Nestled in The Starhill and having a beautiful view of Pavillion (and a peek at KLCC), Come True Cafe is one of those Insta-worthy cafes that is worth checking out! With their selection of beautiful food dishes and unique drinks, it’s a spot to consider the next time you make a visit over to Bukit Bintang!
Hing Kee Bak Kut Teh | Kepong | Kuala Lumpur
Suddenly felt like having Bak Kut Teh over the weekend, so was about to pop over to my usual spot in Sri Hartamas, but I just had this temptation to look for some eating spots in Kepong - and lo and behold, I stumbled upon a bib gourmand receipient - Hin Kee Bak Kut Teh!
Team Udon | Dataran Merdeka | Kuala Lumpur
Took a mini detour on my dating adventures quite recently - stopping by at the ever so popular Team Udon! Been seeing it quite a bit on my Instagram stories lately, so it was a place that I wanted to check out since I was exploring the Dataran Merdeka area.
The Farm | The Sphere | Bangsar | Kuala Lumpur
Today on the blog is a restaurant that has always been at the back of my mind - it seems like there are a few different names for it - The Farm, The Farm Foodcraft, The Farm Restaurant. You get the idea. It’s located at The Sphere in Bangsar South, and this is what I thought of it!
Jibril | Publika | Kuala Lumpur
Finally back in Malaysia after a couple of years in Dubai, and was trying to think of a place to eat at Publika, and me and my friend had a meal at none-other than Jibril!
The Hive | Haarlem
Trying to cover a lot of my UK / Netherlands food adventures and here’s one that I found really interesting in Haarlem. It’s a really cook breakfast / brunch spot in Haarlem that has a really homely vibe and decent food.
Kinoya | Onyx Tower | The Greens | Dubai
Kinoya is a fantastic ramen spot that was recently a receipient of the MIchelin Bib Gourmand award (an award for restaurants that have been impressing customers over the past year) and I just had to check out what they had to offer. Here’s what me and my family had on our visit at Kinoya!
Reif Kushiyaki Buranchi | Dar Wasl Mall | Dubai
I really love writing about brunch offerings because there’s so much to talk about! This post will go into the brunch offering (or “Buranchi”) of Reif Kushiyaki! This is a multi-award-winning restaurant by Chef Reif Othman (a Singaporean). This restaurant is a recipient of the Michelin Bib Gourmand in Dubai for 2022, so I’m super excited to share their brunch offering with you guys!
