When you talk about viral Korean food in Sri Hartamas, I really cannot think of one Korean food spot that has gone this viral in Sri Hartamas in a while. I even think I’ve seen this place more than Busan Zip and Gamtan on social media, and that’s saying a lot! This is Dong Baek, a new Korean spot in Sri Hartamas specializing in pressure cooker dishes and unique Korean alcohol offerings.

In an area already crowded with other Korean restaurants - namely Busan Zip, Dae Sam Sik Dang, and Buldojang, I was quite surprised to see another new challenger, in Gamtan Meat Shop. It is a seriously popular new Korean BBQ restaurant in Sri Hartamas attracting large crowds and long queues. Here’s what I thought of it!

Suddenly felt like having Bak Kut Teh over the weekend, so was about to pop over to my usual spot in Sri Hartamas, but I just had this temptation to look for some eating spots in Kepong - and lo and behold, I stumbled upon a bib gourmand receipient - Hin Kee Bak Kut Teh!

If you’re looking for some legitimately delicious (but guilty-pleasure inducing) food around Mont Kiara, there really is no better place than Fat Fook Inn. This is legitimately a really yummy option for some premium (at least for me) Zi Char style food in Mont Kiara.

With similar origins to the wildly famous (I have lots of friends who swear by this Bak Kut Teh) Bak Kut Teh from Kota Tinggi, Kiang Kee Bak Kut Teh (强记肉骨茶), Kota Zheng Zhong offers Johor Bahru-ians a chance to experience that very taste right from Nusa Bestari.

Ma la hot pot is a phenomenon in Singapore, so it is no wonder that this trend is slowly spreading over to Malaysia - with Johor Bahru and Kuala Lumpur, in particular, growing into the trend. This restaurant in particular specialises in a less known dry version of the dish, cooking it with the chillis without a soup base.

Today I have more food coming from the Nusa Bestari area (Giant side), and very recently I took a visit to IKar, a popular fish noodle restaurant! It has an extensive menu and delicious food, so I’m sure this will be something that you guys will enjoy.

Got a craving for some seafood kwey teow soup in Gelang Patah? Look no further than Xing Ho Restaurant! It serves kwey teow soup at a fairly decent price point, making sure you come back for more the next time!

A place that I personally eat regularly, Fountain Cafe (何泉珍) Aeon Bukit Indah offers a wide menu of delicious food at affordable prices, making it a place that you might want to consider if you’re looking for nicer meals on a budget.

If you want a bitter gourd soup, there’s no better place than Kah Kah Loke (佳佳乐苦瓜汤) to have your fix! It is a place that I find myself going back from time to time because they produce delicious homely meals.

More affectionately known as Waterworks Laksa House (W.W. Laksa House), the restaurant serves up some tasty laksa at decent prices and is something you should definitely try if you’re looking for local food in the city area.

Located in the middle of the ever-growing Eco Botanic (or Eko Botani) lies an upscale Japanese Restaurant aiming to satisfy all our stomachs in Shiokara! Serving up delicious sashimi and scrumptious udons, Shiokara is a really popular spot for Japanese food enthusiasts.

You probably wouldn’t expect a Japanese restaurant selling fresh sashimi in a high rise above Orchard Central to have cheap prices, but that’s precisely what you’re getting at Tsukiji Fish Market Restaurant!
