555 Thainanese Chicken Rice | Sri Hartamas | Menu, Prices & What to Order
Today I’m really excited to be sharing with you all a new favourite of mine! This is 555 Thainanese Chicken Rice, a new Thai-Hainanese Chicken rice spot that has just opened in Sri Hartamas. Among all the more expensive Korean spots and Western cafes (including A’dough, which is actually right next door), this is a really reasonable spot to get your fix of Thai style chicken rice!
Ramen David | TTDI
From the founders of Dave’s Deli & Cafe Bistrot David comes a new popular Ramen spot in Ramen David. This is a new spot in TTDI - and when you’re on the same row as multiple Michelin-starred restaurants like Terra Dining and Akar, you probably need to stand out, and I honestly think that this is one of the new spots in TTDI that really deserve attention.
Sushi Oribe | Kuala Lumpur
Definitely wouldn’t describe myself as someone who has Omakase regularly, but the fact that I can tell you that I’ve been to Sushi Oribe twice is probably testament to the fact that I think that it is great value! (just for reference, I can’t think of more than 2 other Omakases in Kuala Lumpur that I’ve tried).
Oomph | Bukit Jalil | Kuala Lumpur
Wanted to share a pretty neat cafe I’ve been to lately. It’s a cafe that I really liked everything, from the food to the vibes to even the service, so here it is: Oomph Bukit Jalil! There’s another branch over at Petaling Jaya, but this is referring to the Bukit Jalil branch.
Ming Kee Porridge | SS2 | Petaling Jaya
I’m not personally the biggest fan of porridge, so you can bet that it has to be a pretty tasty looking porridge for me to be the one to suggest to head to SS2 to try one particular porridge. This is Ming Kee Porridge over at SS2 (銘記粥品)!
Maguro Father | East Coast Road | Singapore
With an almost members-only vibe, Maguro Father is a relatively new (opened December ‘22) Japanese place that you really wouldn’t even know if you didn’t intentionally go looking for it. Serving up fresh Japanese food, this is definitely a place to go to get your Japanese food fix!
Clay Dubai | Bluewaters Island | Dubai

Recently just got back from my trip to London and Amsterdam, so I’m excited to share with you guys the food that I got on my trip there! The first on my blog: Engawa! This was the spot that I brought my girlfriend to for her birthday lunch.
Cultureel Eetcafe Skek | Amsterdam
I was in Amsterdam a week ago for the Keukenhof tulip festival and one of the most worth it meals was at Cultureel Eetcafe Skek! This is a student-run cafe that has the vibes somewhere in between a boardgame cafe and a lively pub.
11 Woodfire | Business Lunch | Dubai
11 Woodfire is a one-michelin-star restaurant near Mandarin Oriental Dubai, and when I heard about their new business lunch menu (or their Lunch set Prix Fixe), I was super excited to head to the restaurant and try it out!
Hutong Dubai | DIFC | Dubai

Nonya Dubai Set Lunch | JLT | Dubai
Nonya Dubai is a very neat restaurant located at Taj Jumeirah JLT serving up delicious Malaysian / Singaporean food from the 44th floor (although the view could probably be helped by some cleaner windows). Here’s what I thought of their set lunch offering!
CK Bistro | Brighton
A few snippets from my Brighton trip are coming up next on my blog, and the first one is CK Bistro! This is a comfy and homely spot my girlfriend found in Brighton and one that I thoroughly enjoyed on our short trip to the seaside town. Here’s what I thought of CK Bistro!
99 Sushi Bar & Restaurant | The Address Downtown | Downtown Dubai
I would say that a lot of the Japanese restaurants in Dubai are a bit more on the fusion side - namely Roka, Zuma, 3 Fils, & Goldfish (many more examples, but these are what pop into my head). I would say that 99 Sushi Bar & Restaurant is probably up there in terms of being one of the more authentic Japanese cuisine spots in Dubai. Here’s what I thought of it!
Cafe Isan Thai Streetfood & Tea Bar | JLT | Dubai
Really excited to share with you guys the Time Out “Best Thai” restaurant 2022, Cafe Isan at JLT! The food is super delicious and authentic - and a fairly reasonable price point (for a “best Thai” restaurant in a hotel)

Up on the blog this week is one of the newer additions to the Dubai food scene - Sushi Samba @ St Regis! This is a Japanese-Peruvian fusion restaurant that has already welcomed the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Sheikh Hamdan.
Leonardo Restaurant | Stella di Mare Hotel | Dubai
Today, I’m sharing a lovely restaurant - Leonardo at the Stella di Mare Hotel. This is one of the highest-rated restaurants on the “The Entertainer” app, and it so rightfully deserves that acclaim. This is one of the best deals on the app, and I’ll show you what we had!
Sedap Kitchen Dubai | Dubai Creek
Formerly known as Kim’s Singapore Seafood, I honestly think that the revitalized Sedap Kitchen is a place where you can get a wonderful taste of Singapore with a beautiful view overlooking Dubai Creek.
The Maine Land Brasserie | Business Bay | Dubai
This week on the blog, I’m sharing Maine, a popular French restaurant in Business Bay for all you foodies! This is a restaurant serving up delicious French foods at a reasonable business lunch price. This review will cover their lunch offerings - I’m personally not familiar with their dinner/a-la-carte offerings.
Goldfish Sushi and Yakitori | Galleria Mall | Al Wasl | Dubai
Got another place to share to get your Japanese food cravings fix and this time I’m sharing my thoughts about my visit to Goldfish Sushi & Yakitori! This is a pretty hip sushi/yakitori joint focusing on high-quality casual Japanese dining, here’s what I thought!
