Been exploring to find some new restaurants that I haven’t tried, and this is one that I have been wanting to try for the longest time. I actually saw this on Favepay, which is a really nice place to find new restaurants!

I’ll be the first to tell you that I probably should have healthier eating habits. The fact that I try the newest McDonalds AND KFC promotions is perhaps a good indicator of that. That in mind, this is a restaurant that I actually REALLY like that serves up really nice vegetarian food.

Guoma Express is a steamboat -esque restaurant with a pretty unique characteristic - you have a small steamboat in front of you just for yourself! No more fighting with friends for which soup and dishes you want inside your dishes, this place is for all those people who like slightly stranger combinations but are shy to ask for it! XD

A really cool restaurant that I’m sharing today - Mid Valley Southkey’s French restaurant Cafe de Poulet! This is honestly a really homely restaurant that I’m a really big fan of, so I’m pretty excited to share this restaurant with you guys!

Another addition to the already crowded Eco Botanic space, Oven & Fried Chicken is a restaurant serving up chicken in various forms (fried, oven baked, etc.) and loads of other traditional Korean dishes (Jajjang Noodles, Kimchi Jeon, Bibimbap, etc.). Here’s what I thought of it!

For how big & grand it is, I feel surprised this isn’t mentioned up there among the top cafe hopping spots in Johor Bahru, so I would definitely say that this is one of those ‘hidden gems’ of Johor Bahru!

Hello peoples! Coming back yet again with another really nice restaurant in Eco Botanic. This time it’s Lemon Tree! This is a chain of restaurants that has been popular in a few different spots in Johor, but it’s the first time I’ve personally had it, so here’s my review!

My favourite Korean restaurant in the Johor Bahru area, Sisters BBQ is a great place for Korean BBQ without the fuss of smelling like barbecue after! Not to mention the excellent tasting food here, this is one of my personal top picks in the Bukit Indah area!

Pretty new to the Bukit Indah/Nusa Bestari area (I believe they opened March 2019) is Heng Heng Western Food, which is a nice place to get a decently priced meal! Here’s what I had on my latest visit!

To have a cheap food option in this area is an absolute DREAM COME TRUE for me. Yuan Eatery is a really nice addition to the Sunway Iskandar area for all you ‘Zhap Fan’ or budget eaters!

From the team that brought you People & Places comes Routine by Soon! I would describe this as an almost fast food-esque (in concept rather than quality, because I think it is still pretty tasty & healthy) version of the original restaurant, but it’s great if you want a quick bite.

Back to a bit of Johor Bahru food blogging - just because this was an old one that I haven’t shared in a while. Today I’m sharing 7dish cafe! (of 7dish coffee, I’m not sure which one its meant to be. This is a place which has an all-day breakfast menu, but the star of this cafe spot is definitely that souffle.

I was pretty intrigued when I saw quite a few Instagram posts about this restaurant serving up sizzling hot plate dishes, so naturally I went to check it out! It is none other than Johor Bahru’s very own Mad Plate Malaysia restaurant!

With similar origins to the wildly famous (I have lots of friends who swear by this Bak Kut Teh) Bak Kut Teh from Kota Tinggi, Kiang Kee Bak Kut Teh (强记肉骨茶), Kota Zheng Zhong offers Johor Bahru-ians a chance to experience that very taste right from Nusa Bestari.

Sunway Iskandar is developing at a REALLY rapid pace, so today I’m sharing with you guys a new find, which is Burger Bandit! Burger Bandit is a burger joint originating for Johor Bahru serving up a whole ton of interesting burgers.

Lots of new restaurants opening up in Eco Botanic, so that’s more food for me to go and try! Today I’ll be talking about PiringMu, which is a Peranakan restaurant with a branch in both Bukit Indah and Eco Botanic.

Today I’m sharing a cafe in Johor Bahru that is a bit more hidden, and it’s People & Places! It is a specialty brunch kind of restaurant that serves up delicious breakfast/brunch options for you to indulge on!

I think the only possible way to describe kuey chap would be that it is a dish that utilises every single possible part of a pig (meat, intestines, even the blood!) and mixes it in with a clean tasting soy sauce based broth to concoct a delicious combination.

Poke bowls are something I LOVE eating. They’re healthy, nutritious and taste really yum (got lots of flavour with the fruits, nuts and what not), so it isn’t too much of a surprise today that I’m sharing a really nice poke bowl stop in Poke Twins Mount Austin.

I feel as though Hakka food has that very special homely feel to it. Maybe because I have some Hakka background in my family, maybe it is just the style of cooking. Hakka Traditional Foods Gelang Patah is a fantastic place to get your fix of Hakka food!
